Bionica - De natuur als inspiratiebron [2023]

In 2023, I worked on a schoolproject about Biomimicry, or "Bionica" in Dutch, which means taking inspiration from nature for our inventions. I created a small 14-page A5 book for first-year students (12-13 years old) to help them learn about this topic, as it’s not something many people know about. The book can be used as a lesson or part of class materials. I did the illustrations, wrote the text, and put the book together.

The idea for this project was sparked by Jean-Marc Côté's illustration 'En L'an 2000 - in pursuit of a smuggler' and further inspired by Ylva Poelman’s book 'De natuur als uitvinder,' which helped shape the creative direction of the book.
