About me

Hi! I’m Joaquin de Graaff,

Graphic designer, illustrator, and animator from the Netherlands. Graduated from the Graphic Lyceum Rotterdam in 2022 and currently studying Illustrated & Animated Storytelling at St.Joost School of Art & Design in Breda. I take inspiration from nature, cultures and people. Whether it’s tiny insects, old architecture, or people's everyday moments. I love telling visual stories and making people look at things in a new way.

I work both digitally and by hand, using tools like Procreate, Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro. As well as traditional materials like ink, watercolor and printmaking techniques such as linoprint and screenprint. My style is a mix of detailed illustration and clean, graphic design, a reflection of both my artistic curiosity and my background in graphic design. Always exploring new ways to create and bring my ideas to life through a mix of illustration and animation.

After graduating in 2022, I launched my own creative studio called 'Jairo Graphics' focused on graphic design for clients. Over time, I’ve been gradually incorporating more illustration and animation into my work.

Current Last project

Over the past six months, I worked with five classmates to establish an illustration studio. Together, we created a story presented in four chapters, published as four separate booklets. This project was completed on June 20, 2025.
