The 6th of Juli 2021 I finished this project in collaboration with The GLR and Coffeebased. Coffeebased is a company that makes new usable objects with old coffee grounds. They make plant pots, coffeemugs ánd note- and sketchbooks. And they are working on a lot more products to produce with our old coffee.
I got the opportunity to work with them through my school The GLR. On April the 1st 2021 our class got a project to design the front- and endpage from a sketchbook, a label design to put around the sketchbook and a design that that could be lasered in the cover of the sketchbook. The cover is made of coffee ground with a binder so it won’t just fall apart. This is the reason why it’s possible to laser a small design out of the cover. This project was a contest, the winners designs really got produces.
And here it comes, you’ll never guess… I won!
That meant my design has been produced about 1500 times, everybody from my education that uses a sketchbook for their classes got one.

Victor Wooten is a well known musician in the bass world. He is an American bassist, songwriter and record producer. He is the proud owner of five Grammy Awards and won the Bass Player of the Year award from Bass Player magazine three times. He has been the bassist for Béla Fleck and the Flecktones since the group’s formation in 1988 and a member of the band SMV with two other bassists, Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller. From 2017 to 2019 he recorded as the bassist for the metal band Nitro.
But most importantly, he produces his own music as well. 2 of his own albums from 2012 are called “Words and Tones” and the instrumental sequel “Sword and Stone”.
I combined the most streamed songs from these albums into 1 special edition vinyl cover called “Words in Stone”.
Products: A vinyl cover, a lyrics booklet, an inner cover, 2 vinyl stickers (Side A and Side B)
This is a fictional album cover, it is not really produced. The songs on the album are on the other hand listenable on spotify and other music platforms. The 2 albums go under the names of “Word and Tones” and “Sword and Stone”.

I illustrated a poster about Montego-Bay. I had to link a charity to this poster campaign so I chose ProjectsAbroad. A charity that is active in the area around Montego-Bay. They help people who are in lack of money or who can’t maintain their own family. They teach children at self-built schools, they have doctors for those who are medically ill. They help build houses, roads and whole villages and they all do this with a lot of help from volunteers and interns.
The assignment was to make a poster with 1 pantone color besides black, I chose pantone 7737 U. This is the color green you’ll see all over this page.
The intention was that this poster would hang at Schiphol airport so that many travelers would see it. Unfortunately, this is not really the case, because it was a school assignment
Products: a poster for Schiphol airport in 1 pantone color besides Black
